Influenced by ((CARRIERI, REV. LEONARD - M.SS.CC.(1914–2009)[1] a local catholic priest and sculpture,
who at the time was in his nineties, had not started doing sculptures untill he was fifty four years old.
He taught it was never to late to get involved in art and culture)); As a friend and local park Naturalist/Naive Artist.
I Started doing wood sculptures[2] in 2000 under the Fathers care. By 2007, and continuing into 2008 and beyond,
extending a Naturalist [3]/Naive approach, keeping in mind the complexity of relationships between people and
nature is emphasized, along with the importance of establishing more mutualistic social structures that take
account of this,[4] in face lifting the Open Space property to blend the surroundings and habituates, by nature ofthe architecture, even though the property was a old industrial sight the clean up and transformation was done without the use

(SJI Prop.),[6][7] because its prier owners were "South Jersey Industries". Before that the sight of the Hagerthy
Fuel Oil Company.
From sometime between 1975-83 the property sat idle, until the city of Linwood [8] acquired part of it in 2003 [9]
through Green Acres [10]. It was overgrown, contaminated [11], full of trash and vines [12]. Part of it was a field
with gravel and asphalt where the Fuel Docks, outbildings and trucks turned around showed in these oil fire pictures
from 1975,[13](disregard time stamps, they were pictures of photos from the Linwood fire dept albums), Now the

In time cleaning, clearing, grubbing vines and overgrowth,[15] poising ivy, raking stones filling holes, grading with a
homemade grader,[16],trimming trees, pulling weeds and roots, everything by hand. Mulching everything with a
customized riding lawnmower [17], and planting grass throughout. Watered with a homemade spreader made from
a plastic barrel.[18]

The City of Linwood NJ at times working hand and hand to take away all the trash, asphalt, rotten wood, block,
brick, grub, anything and everything that came off the sight. With there support especially of the counsel
president [19][20], who would later walk her dog there as well as well as many locals. It was cleaned up.[21]

Intimate with the wild life there, there are many pictures of the foliage [22] and the wildlife, especially of a juvenile
red tailed hawk that had no fear. pictured within five feet of it [23] while it was feeding. Pictures of box Turtles, once
of one laying eggs.[24] Abandon baby duck had shown up and eventually bonded with people.[25] The duck is now
a pet of one of the local police officers brother, that worked at a zoo and could give her a proper home. He had first
took her to the zoo but she flew back to his house so they kept her as a pet. she had six chicks. Songs were
written at and about the open space and nature there, sparking the making of ten's of videos of most of the opens
spaces in Linwood that had a natural flavor to them [26]. Local residence referred to it now as a park.[27]

It was the sight of Hagerthy oil. They where very nice people and extended a helping hand to many especially
during the great depression when people could not afford to pay there oil bills. Mrs. Hagerthy was in charge of a
senior citizens group that maintained Hartshorne Senior citizen Park across the street and that it was quite the
show case.

Eddie and the Cruisers [28] trivia [29] ... the station in the movie AMFMSW refers to was visited by Tom Berenger's
character Frank Robbins, and the DJ was Joe Pantoliano's character, Doc Robbins. The OUTSIDE of the station ...
seen here:[30] was an abandoned building on Route 9 in Linwood, formerly the office of Hagerthy Fuel Oil.

Funny story about the outside of the radio station in the movie ... WRHE. One day when I was PD of Rock 104,
we went out to lunch, and passed Hagerthy Fuel Oil's abandoned building on Route 9 in Linwood, and it had HUGE
neon letters on the roof ... WRHE, and a little communications tower which was always there. This was just before
WDVR/WKTU/WTKU came on the air, so we thought maybe it was going to be their studio. A couple of days later,
not only were the call letters gone, the building was torn down. Mystery ! A few years later, my girlfriend and I were
watching Eddie and The Cruisers for the first time (on HBO) and there it was ! I shrieked and laughed, and had to
explain the story.
